Testimonials

'I have used the nursery for about four years and at present have all of my three children there.I have a child in each of the rooms, baby room, Tweenie room and toddler room and use the nursery two days per week.Obviously, it is quite expensive for me to have three children there at the same time, so I need to be sure that they are getting the best possible care. The big thing that makes a difference to me and being able to hold down a demanding job is the feeling of reassurance I have when I leave the nursery. I know that staff in all three rooms know my children well and I can count on them to call me if there is a problem. The three rooms are quite flexible and change days for me if I need to work at different times.'

'What I particularly like are the educational outings arrange for the pre-school children and I think Paula, the teacher attached to the nursery is excellent. One thing that I always appreciate is the welcome we get in every room. I always feel that staff are glad to see us arriving and make my children feel important. Finally, I always comment on any issues in the nursery and although my comments are sometimes controversial I feel I have been listened to.Benefits for me include the percentage discounts for second and third children and the fact that my fees are deducted from my salary before tax.'

'When I moved to Macclesfield I didn't know anybody, I had left my family and friends in Suffolk. Gemma had been to two other playgroups before and I was eager for her to continue to mix with others and get to know children who she might to school with. I found that Little Scallywags were very flexible and although they were pretty full Gemma was able to come for two mornings a week where they had a vacancy. Although the nursery is more expensive than a playgroup, it is open all year round and as she is now four we get help with the fees with the education grant'.

'I have been taking my children to Little Scallywags for five years now, my eldest child is now at primary school but still enjoys dropping our baby off in the mornings. The staff are always friendly and greet both children and myself in the mornings, they always make time to discuss matters at the end of the day.I feel happy at leaving my baby in the care of the staff. They were particularly helpful when my eldest son first started nursery, I was quite upset at leaving him for the first time, I took longer to 'settle' than he did!. The staff were understanding and very patient with me, the settling in process was done gradually, I left my baby for only 1/2 an hour at first and I built up to leaving him for the full day. I was a little more relaxed at leaving my second child and can now go to work knowing that he is being well cared for and probably having a better time than he would be at home with me!'
