Early Years Foundation Stage and the key worker approach

We individually assess each child in our care to ensure that they reach the appropriate level of development to enable them to progress and enjoy Pre-school activities. Although the children work and play with all the staff team, each Early Years Practitioner is responsible for a small group of children.

This key worker keeps a portfolio in line with the E.Y.F.S, of all your child’s achievements in chronological order that you can request to see at any time. These records of achievement are useful to a child’s teacher as they go to school and as well as providing a record of your child’s time at Little Scallywags.
